“As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.”
Project 180 Ministries is a volunteer-based ministry passionate about sharing the love of God through Jesus Christ. We do that by helping transition people off the streets and into safe recovery programs. In addition, we invite the homeless into a healthy community of people by offering emotional and spiritual support via weekly visits, prayers and social events. We believe in hope for changed lives and will walk alongside those less fortunate so they know they are loved.
STREET OUTREACH EVENTS
Our volunteers bring help and hope to the homeless each month during area-wide outreaches by offering food, clothing, and spiritual uplift in different locations. Our goal is that the homeless will embrace the healing power of God. Join us on this journey to witness people’s lives change.
RECOVERY PROGRAM SERVICES
Project 180 Ministries partners with Christian-based recovery programs to help change lives one person at a time. We offer the homeless an opportunity to leave the streets and aid in transitioning them into programs such as Teen Challenge and the Bay Area Rescue Mission. We visit our clients weekly, as the programs allow, to offer support and encouragement during their transition off of the streets.
- Bay Area Rescue Mission‘s vision is “To present the means and opportunity for real and lasting change to the homeless and needy.”
- Teen Challenge‘s mission is “To provide youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society. By applying biblical principles, Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally-sound, emotionally-balanced, socially-adjusted, physically-well, and spiritually-alive.”
We hold fundraisers at local stores, offer t-shirts for donations, and hold other events to raise funds to support our mission. 100% of all donations are used to run our ministries. Project 180 Ministries is an IRS-recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit, in good standing. We receive no federal, state or local government funds. Your support may be used as a tax-deduction. Our Tax ID # is 27-0503584.
We collect clothing and blankets/sleeping bags to distribute during our Street Outreach events. Please bring clothing (especially socks and coats) and blankets and/or sleeping bags to help a person in need. We will be accepting donations Wednesdays from 8am – 3pm.
